         The birthday of Lord Krishna is celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm all over India on Janmashtami. Krishna Janmashtami marks the birth of Lord Krishna who is often the most beloved God. This festival is also known as Gokulashtami. 

On Friday, 19th August 2022, the students of Sunshine High School celebrated Janmashtami. The students of Pre- Primary came traditionally dressed as Radha and Krishna. A splendidly colorful program was organized by the children and staff of the school, where students presented dance, song and fashion show etc. The program started with lighting of diyas by the director Mr. Kamal Kumar Agarwal to offer reverence to the deity. Then it was followed by the dance performance by the students of class nursery along with their teachers Miss Kadambari Subba and Miss Sushmita Biswakarma, which was followed by the dance performance of the toddlers of Pre- Nursery with their Yashoda Maiya Miss Sunita (class teacher). The host of the program Miss Oma Lama provided the audience with a lot of information about the life of Lord Krishna. The childrens of class K.G. had put up a dance performance complaining to mother Yashoda about Bal Gopal and his playful acts with the gopiyas, which was followed by the fashion show by the children. At the end of the show all the children of classes Pre- Nursery, Nursery and K.G. presented a beautiful song. The director Mr. Kamal Agarwal addressed to the audience regarding the celebration. Finally the programme concluded with a vote of thanks by the school Principal Miss Sradha Pradhan.
