The birthday of Lord Krishna is celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm all over India on Janmashtami. Krishna Janmashtami marks the birth of Lord Krishna who is often the most beloved God. This festival is also known as Gokulashtami. 

On Thursday, 7th September 2023, the students of Sunshine High School celebrated Janmashtami. The students of Pre- Primary and Primary came traditionally dressed as Radha and Krishna. A splendidly colorful program was organized by the children and staff of the school, where students presented dance, song and fashion show etc. The program started with lighting of diyas by the director Mr. Kamal Kumar Agarwal and his betterhalf Mrs. Shashi Agarwal to offer reverence to the deity. Then it was followed by the dance performance of the toddlers of Pre- Nursery with their Yashoda Maiya Miss Sunita (class teacher) and Miss Nisha Mukhia, which was followed by the fashion show by the students of class Nursery. The host of the program Miss Oma Lama provided the audience with a lot of information about the life of Lord Krishna. The children of class K.G. had put up a dance performance and a group song talking about the grace of God's Love. After that the children of class I, performed a lovely dance presenting the childhood life of Lord Krishna. At the end of the show, Sir Deepunj Lama mesmerized the audience with a melodious and soulful song. Finally, the programme concluded with a vote of thanks by the school Principal Miss Sradha Pradhan.
