An event on Public Speaking was organised in Sunshine High School on 31st August 2023, under the leadership of the teacher Mrs. Sushmita Biswakarma. Students from Classes VI to X had participated in the event. It was an event wonderfully organised. Their teacher Mrs. Sushmita Biswakarma had taken much effort in order to get the children ready for the event. They had practised really hard to make the event a successful one.

The event started with the welcome speech given by the host Mrs. S. Biswakarma which was followed by the informative speech of Miss Mriganggi Saha (Class VII) with the purpose of conveying the message that why education is a must for the upcoming generations. The students of Class X Master Udit Bhandawat and Master Rabi Prasad talked/focused on the current news of our country and the audience was also given the information that practicing such session helped in developing cognitive skills. In the next session of the event a good number of short speeches were delivered by the Students of classes VIII and IX through Picture Talk on various topics like – Self Discipline by Dhristy Chettri (Classes VIII), Be a good listener by Chuten Tamang (Classes VIII), Patience by Ashwin Yogi (Classes IX), Anxiety by Prayan Chettri (Classes IX) and Work on Body Language and Attire by Vijaya Laxmi (Classes VIII). All the speeches were brilliantly presented by the students.

Next was the role play presented by the students of Class VI on the purpose of enhancing their narration and conversational Skills. The narrator of the play Master Ayush Lama (Class VI) presented a lovely narration of the play about Friendship and Truth and it was enacted by the other students of the same class. The children were successful in conveying their message to the audience.

The Spectators of the event were amazed by the surprising special performance by Tsheten Sherpa (class IX) with the narration of an inspirational story ‘let go of your stress ‘in terms of motivating his classmates.

In the last session of the event the Principal of the school thanked Mrs. Sushmita Biswakarma for organising and conducting the program which was truly beneficial for the students and hoped to organise more such programs in future for the betterment of the students.

Finally the program concluded by the closing speech of the organizer cum host of the event Mrs. Sushmita Biswakarma.
